Encompassing the highest peaks of the Sauratown Mountains, the park's nearly 7,000 acres contain several hiking trails that lead to breathtaking scenic overlooks, caves, ridges and waterfalls. In addition to hiking and rock climbing, the park encompasses a 12-acre spring-fed lake where swimming, fishing and canoeing are popular summertime activities. Located west of the town of Danbury, the park also features a visitors center, a campground and several vacation cabins.
Open daily Nov - Feb: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Mar and Oct: 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.; Apr, May and Sep: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.; Jun - Aug: 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Free entry. Additional charge for swimming, camping and rental of canoes and rowboats.
